Three furry, huge, slobbery, lovable Saint Bernards have recently found their forever home, and in times like these, this is the good news everyone needs.
These five-year-old litter mates, named Gasket, Goliath, and Gunther, have been living at the Edmonton Humane Society since September when they were transferred in from another rescue group.
The humane society was looking for an adopter to take all three together because of how bonded the trio is.
“When they’re separated, they’re showing high levels of anxiety and a high need for each other,” Leigh Milligan, EHS’ supervisor of animal behavior, said. “They were pawing at the kennel doors, trying to escape, trying to get to each other, crying.”
On Oct. 9, EHS posted about the trio on their Facebook page, looking for folks interested in adopting the bunch. They thought it would be a difficult task, as taking on three large dogs would certainly be, but instead were blown away when they received over 250 requests to adopt for the dogs.
A Calgary family, who has an acre of open land for these three large dogs to explore, were the lucky family to take these beautiful pups home.

“We are beyond excited to be giving these three dogs their forever home,” the family said. “When we found out that we were getting the opportunity to meet them, we cried tears of joy. We immediately fell in love with them,” the family added. “The dogs are so friendly, they’re so rambunctious. They’re going to fit so well into our home.”
