The couple turned to Facebook to share their story in order to reach anyone who was willing and able to help out. They were totally overwhelmed by the response.

Paul even went to Facebook to get donations. Of course, he was just relying on the kindness of others for any help that they could give. People felt for their situation and donated a lot of money to the budding family. Things were looking and feeling good. Although, that would be short-lived.
Picking The Names
Paul was working so hard to make ends meet. He knew that he had to do this for the woman he loved and the babies he was going to provide for. Barbara even let him pick out all of the names since he was working so hard for her. Meanwhile, she was able to just relax.

As they got closer to the due date, another shocking bomb was dropped on the couple. This seemed like it was almost impossible…
Just A Week Left…
With one week left before her due date, Barbara went to the doctor once more. This time, she came back with literally impossible news: She was pregnant with quintuplets. Paul was speechless and confused. How did they not know?

Barbara’s friend had given her tons of advice for handling multiples, but Barbara didn’t seem to keen on taking it. Not out of malice, but mostly out of disinterest. Something was up…
Going Into Labor
One night, Barbara claimed she was going into labor. Paul loaded the car up and got Barbara ready to go to the hospital. They admitted Barbara and got her hooked up and settled, but then bloodwork returned…
Doctors Released the News…
Doctors were shocked to see the bloodwork and had to take Paul to the side. As it turns out, Barbara is not pregnant at all.
Phantom Pregnancy
As it turns out, Barbara had convinced herself that she was pregnant to induce a “phantom” pregnancy. This is a real medical condition where a woman is so convinced that she is carrying a baby that her uterus swells, mimicking a pregnant belly. She was even producing milk and getting morning sickness. But, it was all a lie.
Paul Was Crushed
Paul had no idea what to think. How could she have been lying this entire time? The doctors’ appointments, the ultrasounds, the baby names… It all meant nothing. It was just a scheme to her. She didn’t know what to think.
This Isn’t the First Time
As the news broke, people reached out to Paul in condolences and solidarity. Some people from her past came out and even said that she did this three years prior to another boyfriend. She completely broke ties with everyone in that situation so she could scam again…
She Has a History of Lying
Those same people also revealed another horrifying lie: She claimed she had leukemia when she never did. She wanted money and attention, but eventually, people found out. Paul had no idea that the woman who he thought was his soulmate was really this person….
Mentally Ill
Since this was not Barbara’s first offense, medical personnel put her under mental surveillance. Feigning pregnancies is not normal behavior and effects everyone around that person. Barbara was put away to further harm others on the day of her “labor.”
Going Back To Normal
Devastated, Paul began to return the money and gifts that were given to him. “I’ll return all these things to people who sent them or give them away. I’m a good person and I have nothing to do with these lies.”
